Weekly Events:
PLAYDAY PRACTICE, CLUB MEMBERS ONLY: Keller Saddle Club has reserved Keller Arena every FRIDAY from 6:00pm-10:00pm.

Barrels and poles at most practices.

If representatives of KSC have not set up an organized practice on any given Friday evening, open riding is available at the arena for KSC members.

There is no fee to practice.
DRILL TEAM PRACTICE, CLUB MEMBERS ONLY: Keller Saddle Club has reserved Keller Arena every Sunday from 5:00pm-10:00pm.

Drill Team practice from 5:00-7:00

Open Riding 7:00-10:00 for KSC members.

Drill Team Practice
Practice Sunday 5pm to 7pm
The Keller Saddle Club is happy to announce another great opportunity for our young equesterians to develop their riding skills and to offer their horses another outlet for their energy.
We are forming a drill team with the hopes of doing some local competitions and exhibitions. A small number of girls (boys are welcome too) have been practicing a little on Friday nights. The Keller parks and rec department has now allowed us to book another practice for the team on Sunday afternoons. We have the use of the arena from 5pm to 10pm on Sunday evenings. The drill team practice should be complete by 7pm most Sundays so from 7 to 10 can be open arena riding for those who wish to practice riding skills. This is a great chance for our kids to be able to branch out from the usual playday routines.
Candace Minnaar and Jennifer Edgar are working with the girls.
They are doing this free of charge so a big thank you is in order.
As the team gets more organized there will be official try outs in order to put the kids into teams as appropriate. Hopefully we will have enough interest to form two teams.
The only requirement is that the rider must be able to control their horse at a trot and canter and the horse must be good around other horses. For those of you not familiar with what a drill team does it is similar to syncronized swimming on horseback.
I hope to see several of you out at the arena on Sunday afternoon.
